Ban Ki-moon arrives in Islamabad


ISLAMABAD: General Secretary of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday.

During his visit the UN Chief will be meeting President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

According to a Foreign Office statement, Pakistan gives importance to the UN and appreciates the visit of the Secretary General to Pakistan.

The visit of the UN Chief will provide valuable opportunity to discuss regional and international issues.

It is a maiden visit of Ban Ki-moon as Secretary General of the UN to Pakistan.

During his visit announcement will also be made regarding 3-member UN mission in connection with the investigation of Ms Benzir Bhutto’s assassination.
