PESHAWAR: Nine militants have been killed during police encounter here on Wednesday.
Talking to Geo News, SSP Operation Abdul Ghafoor Afridi said militants were trying to kidnap a person in Bazi Khel area of Peshawar. Police have reached the scene and trade of fire took place between police and militants.
Nine militants have been killed and three policemen injured during encounter. The bodies and injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.
The area has been cordoned off and police and FC personnel have launched search operation. Heavy arms cache has also been recovered from the militants.
